SKIING IN THE MOONLIGHT If you feel full of energy also at night, the black “Aloch” in Pozza is open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.30 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. The slope has an average grade of 27% (a maximum one of 49%), an altitude gap of 308 m and a length of 1,2 km. It’s hosts famous ski competitions, such as the European Cup, and the official coaching sessions of Italian Alpine Skiing Team.
FREESKI PASSION For freeride lovers, Val di Fassa is an unlimited source of itineraries. Most famous trails are those of Val Mezdì (Canazei) and Val Lastìes (Canazei), the off-piste trials of Marmolada Glacier (Fedaia Pass) and the north-face of Col Margherita at San Pellegrino Pass (Moena). BORN OR BECOME RIDER? There’s only a way to find it out, come and surf in Val di Fassa! Most equipped snowparks are Dolomiti Familypark & Funslope at Belvedere in Canazei, where you can try a soft landing on the mattress Big Air Bag; Sanpe Snowpark at San Pellegrino Pass with an American slope-style trail; Buffaure Snowpark at Buffaure (Pozza), characterized by an extremely wide range of acrobatic elements.
SKI&ZEN In order to sense the slow and contemplative rhythm of nature in its wildest side, we suggest you a snowshoe walk in Val Duron, Val San Nicolò, Monzoni or Fuchiade. The valley offers a wide choice of cross-country skiing routes for a total of 70 km with the Marcialonga piste. And you definitely must experience a downhill ride on a sledge, better if at night, ending with a delicious dinner at an Alpine hut. If you prefer to spend some day as an “heremit”, you can go for a ski-alp excursion and reach Passo Principe Refuge at 2,600 m a.s.l.
ONCE YOU STOP TO SKIING…LET’S START APRÈS SKI! You can start from one of the coolest disco-pubs of the valley, the “Paradis” in Canazei. Carved out of an old hayloft and furbished according to the Alpine traditional style, it will immediately warm you up with good music and excellent drinks. But the evening doesn’t stop here, it rather goes on sparkling in the dark of night. You can go from a pub to another and back home by taxi.
WATER RELAX After a day on skis, you definitely deserve some relaxation. The right places to pamper yourself are QC Terme Dolomiti and the Terme Dolomia in Pozza, where the properties of the unique sulfurous spring of Trentino are exploited. The Dòlaondes in Canazei and the Aquapark Vidor in Pozza are all about water: enjoy being lulled by the gentle motion of the waves, in a regenerating open-air hydromassage or launch yourself into a thrilling descent down the amazingly long slides.
